I took the pics with my iPhone, so they're kinda lame. This is the first bass I've owned with an ebony fingerboard. WOW! Good things do come to those patient enough to wait. However, while I agree with Toby that the smell that rises to one's nostrils when opening up the case of a new Alembic might be better than a new car smell, I can't believe that it beats that of a freshly poured pint of Guinness.
