I just got my Elan back from the amazing folks at Alembic. They refinished the bass in Wineburst and restored all the hardware to "like new." I'm freaking out!

That looks great! Congratulations. Do you have any pictures of what the bass used to look like? Valentino |

I bought the bass off Ebay back in the spring, it was a bit of a wreck, but exactly what I was looking for. I've loved the Wineburst finish ever since the Orion 5 that Alembic did about a year, or so, ago. This bass is perfect for it with a quilted maple top on maple body. Once again, I want to thank the folks at Alembic, they really go over-the-top to make the customer happy. Here's a couple of pics provided by the previous owner.

I soooo love this bass. It is seriously making me consider doing the same thing with a sunburst or tobaccoburst finish. Reid- if you ever want to let this one go, please let me know. |

!!! Way cool, glad you like it! Wineburst is a great variation on bursts and as is often said here, it looks better in person. Thanks! |
