There are three finishes for the black Series I/II pickups and the AXY pickups:

1. plain
2. embossed "ALEMBIC" in block letters
3. gold stamped "ALEMBIC" in script

The plain and embossed are identical shapes. Note that the newer gold stamped version is slightly different:

In most cases, the pickups are interchangeable in Spoiler, Distillate, and other basses with AXY pickups. Older Series I and II basses will not always accept the newer shape (gold stamp on ABS plastic).
