This wood smells like, well, camphor! Probably because that's what it is. I've only got the one piece, but more is readily available. This is wide enough for a bookmatch to center Small Standard body - but not long enough for an Essence or other shape with an extended upper horn. |

Truely unique! This looks like it has little blood vessels under the surface. ("Yes, music is my lifes blood and fine wood is close to my heart.") Mike P.S. - Camphor is a medicinal smell, yes? |

The pattern reminds me of a turtle shell, and the color is sort of like a grapefruit. I'm not really digging it, but maybe someone else would. |

I just got a non Alembic made out of camphor. I posted it in the Miscellaneous Section: None Alembic Family Member. I would love to get a MK5 in this burl one day. It is awesome. |
