The Featured Custom for this month is now up, and it is, to say the least, extraordinary. I still can't figure out how they did it. Congrats Harold!! Amazing bass!

WOW! I especially dig the knobs and hidden tool compartment on back of the headstock. Susan, Mica, Ron, et al. have really outdone themselves on this one. Truly "one of a kind"! You are a lucky man, Harold. By the way, do you know where I can get the out of production Jerry pet?

Reminds me of the year I wrote an extensive antenna rotator review for the FM tuners forum. High End Audio is a gestalt experience you know? I concluded after extensive testing (and a fall from the roof) that the old Alliance rotators sounded much better than the newer hi-tech Yaesu ones. I had a lot of takers on that one.

I just noticed that Mica has updated the page to fix one of the click through images. It really shows off how all of this comes together in such an extraordinary package.

I like the terracotta front plate; the detail is really cool.

Best played using the green thumb technique! (What happens if you want to change the Q before the flowers grow??)

I work from home safe from pranksters had completely forgotten about this being April fool's day. What a lark, I enjoyed every "you gotta be kiddin' me" second of it.

I'll be posting one of those 'pool' boards (like at Super Bowl time), but instead of guessing the score, it will be for how many calls they get in Santa Rosa to actually buy one of these things (of course, after the lawyers agree on some licensing fee with Chia). I'll probably keep the per-square buy-in cheap, but it''l pay lots of green when you win, if you catch my drift. And I certainly hope somebody catches my drift . . .

BTW, I wonder if I could retrofit this to the Elan . . . . no flower knobs though. So whatever happened to the guy that wanted a LavaLamp built into his f2b ?

Yeah, I could see where this bass might be a problem as carry-on at the airport.

I just realized it's kinda like those heads with the grooves in them that you plant sprout seeds in. it grows hair when you keep it wet.
