After hitting my headstock on the ceiling fan light while taking my SC out of the case, I came up with the idea to cover it with a Crown Royal bag until I strap it on. I think I will leave it covered until I get the bass safely on stage too. I'm always leary carrying it through clubs with tables, chairs, & poles to bump into. Most of the time the stage is too small & cluttered to sit the case on stage to take the bass out so I wind up carrying it across the room. The Crown bag fits perfect & is thick enough to protect it from dings & scratches until it is safely on stage.

I will be glad to supply the bags: if all club members will send me $30 for the cost of procuring them, I will return the bag to you as soon as the contents have been dispensed. I'm here to serve... |

That's what I love about being a part of the Alembic family, the members are so thoughtful & always willing to help out! Luckily my neighbor is a connoisseur of the product & had about 20 extra bags for me to choose from! Mine was free! |

Great idea. Crown Royal bag for crown headstocks, but what about those of us with knobby or cone heads? Bill, tgo |

Bill, Crown offers several sizes & colors, I'm sure you can find one to fit your needs. :-) Wolf, I think that's what Mike was offering to do! HAHAHAHA!! |

Way back when, we always kept the snake fan in a CR bag. They're great! Never thought of using one for a headstock, but it's perfect. Bill, you should start a campaign to get Knob Creek to bag their bottles. Peter |

Very useful and good thinking. I've never hit a headstock on one of those contraptions but I have run my right wrist into one while putting on a long sleeve T shirt. Rassa frassa friggel frucca. Dang! Ouch. (Or some such words) Good one Wolf. I'll never forget the vacuuming scene. I'll have to wear a Crown Royal bag while dressing in the AM. |

Peter, we still use a CR bag on our snake! It works great on that too! |

After I got my SC I took this picture of it & went looking for a nice frame to match. I couldn't find anything I liked, so I called Mary & suggested that they take the scrap wood from the build & make picture frames so we can have a frame made out of the same wood as our bass. Not sure they will ever run with that idea, but I would buy a Coco Bolo frame if they offered it! |
