Baritone Guitar Strings

Mine desperately need changing, and as they came on my Orion when I purchased it, I don't know anything about them. Currently I am tuning the low string to B, but have considered trying a little higher. By the way, I don't think I'll ever go back to a regular scale guitar. My Orion sounds incredibly powerful in comparison (could just be the difference between the "Alembic" sound and my last guitar though). I dream that someday I could own a custom eight string (extra bass strings, not treble) with a buckeye-burl top and ebony neck laminates with a fat hippie sandwich.
