Mica,

I ask Valentino last week, but he was not sure. Does Alembic still offer the DS-5...non rack version. If it is no longer offered, can I be put on a waiting list for Ron to do this special project? I think I heard he is book well into next year, whick is fine, just add my name to the list , if possible. I imagine there are a number of people that might be interested in a non rack version too. I beleive the non rack version is more compact and portible.

Let me know when you get a chance.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hey Mica -

It looks like it might be time to bring back the "DS-5 in-a-bag" from years gone by. ;-)

Mica, you might have read already in another thread that I'm also interested in a DS5, but I wouldn't mind a DS5-R actually. First I'll be testing my luck at Edwin's store, but I don't rate my chances very high. Is the DS5-R still being offered, as well as the stereo cable? Prices maybe?

Thanks & best regards,
Wilfred

The DS5-R is the current offering to power Series instruments. I believe it is in the $200-400 price range. The rackmont is great, except when I don't want to carry everything else in the rack just to power the bass for practicing or lesson or etc...

Please don't quote me on any prices. I believe that's an estimated range.

Hello Kevin,

If you prefer a DS5 - I probably could sell you one of mine. I have a couple of DS5's so I could easily spare one of them and a cable. Just let me know.

Hello Kevin,
I told Mica about your request and she said that yes, we can still build those, but we need to get the small 'boxes' to put the circuits in.
List price on DS5-R is 425$.

Christian's generous offer to sell you one would definitely cut down on your waiting time.

Hello Christian, I don't know how many ('a couple') DS5 units you own, but in case you have any more you could miss, I'm certainly interested in one (and a cable) also...

Thanks Valentino.

Christian: That is very nice of you. I would like to take you up on that offer. I would be interested in the DS5 only. How old is it and how much are you looking to get for it?

Regards,

Kevin

Hello Kevin and Wilfred,

'A couple' is unfortunately only 2 - and since I would like to keep one myself - I only have one for sale.
Since Kevin was posting his request first - he will get the first shot... Sorry Wilfred!
The DS5 works very fine - it came with my 20th aniversary model - so it probably has been made in '89.
Aside for 2 pieces of velcro-tape glued to the top of the box - it looks like new.

As for price - I would suggest $200.- plus shiping...

If you send me an email ( christian@noergaard.name ) I will be happy to send you a digital photo of the power supply.

Thanks Wilfred.

Christian:

I bounced you an email earlier today. If for some reason you did not receive my message, I will reforward it to you on Thursday.

However, I do want to let you know that I intend to purchase this from you. We will work out the details off line.

Regards,

Kevin
