Now this is an absolutely beautiful bass! A very unique wood for the top and back laminates, and tasteful touches throughout; the overall result is just a wonderful example of an Alembic bass. Congrats Steve!

Amazing. I love all of the featured customs, but not all are ones I would play. I would gig this bass every day! I love the unclutteredness of the top with less controls and the side jacks.

Thanks everybody, and especially thanks to the fine folks at Alembic for building such a stunning instrument for me. As you can probably guess the bass is even more stunning in person, and most importantly it sounds amazing!

Edwin really hit the nail on the head - this is a gigging bass, meant to be played, and played a lot. I'm doing my best to do just that!

You know, I'm actually heading more in your professional direction, albeit on the other side of the room. I just had my first trial yesterday as a defense lawyer (I'm going to be a 3L this fall) and managed a win! Nothing as heavy as a homicide, a simple misdemeanor theft. However, one of the things that made me very nervous was the fact that I spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday gigging with my Alembics! I'm glad to see other folks juggling similar endeavors.

Love the look of the Black pups and HumC with just the SII controls in that sea of Chocolate Maple Quilt!

And YES - Series instruments are meant to be played: out for an audience to hear (what real clarity and punch sounds like!).

Great bass Steve. I hope you enjoy it. My favorite neck combo.

I'm still kinda partial to your fireburst Europa with the killer small quilt. Any chance we can get a finished pic of "The Red One" in the showcase?

Thanks,

T

You are a Homicide Prosecutor? And you bought a "Killer Bass"? This is very suspicious... Nancy "Disgrace" would talk about this 24/7 if she found out....
Any way: ENJOY!
What a fantastic instrument !
