F-1X Question

Now, I understand jack #2 is supposed to provide 6dB attenuation. When I plug into it, am I supposed to hear the level drop, like a standard pad? I do not hear a change in level. Is there an issue with my unit? Thanks in advance. When both inputs are used at the same time, the inputs sum, and the impedances are the same.
