Friday I took off work early to meet a fellow Alembic club member who came to Okla. City on a business trip, Geary (silverc52000)drove up from Houston Tx and brought his Rogue with him, we went by My guitar's players house to show him Rob's Expoilter guitar and Seventhbass black Expoilter bass we went to my house and setup my rig (The Weather Machine)we got all of the Alembic's (a Series 1, a Rogue and an Epic)and played for hours. I was blown away with the sound, they each had there own sound but they all sounded like Alembic's. My Epic sounded a little dark up next to the Rogue, and my Series 1 What can i say. This was my first time to see and play a Rogue, and I was very impressed with how the Rogue felt hanging from the strap, the balance was not like anything I've ever played, all in all it was a day I'll not soon forget, Five Alembic's in one afternoon, It was an Alembic friday !!!!

If any club members are going to be coming through Okla. City let me know, and we can have an Alembic whatever day of the week day

ps: if all the club members will send me a couple hundred dollars each I can get a new Rogue ordered
just kidding, (or maybe not)

Hey Gang!

Between work and vacation and extra work because of vacation (lol) I’ve been busy for the past few months and haven’t taken time to check out the discussion board here until now. It sure is nice not to have all the pop up spam!

I had a blast with David on Friday. Usually when I go on trip it’s strictly business, but when I found out I had to go to OKC, I opted to drive up rather than fly. Dave was a great host and we started our visit by going and hanging out at a guitar shop for a while. Then we went and visited the two Exploiters and the Kidd 12 string. After dinner, we went to David’s house and he said that it was hot out in the garage, but I told him I was ready to sweat.

Rouge, Series I, Epic

The only thing I regret about the whole trip was that we were not both able to play at the same time. Two Alembics going at the same time is one of the sweetest sounds I’ve ever heard. David was a great host and a really cool guy. I warned him before I arrived that this was going to be a dangerous trip, and now I see that he is soliciting donations for his new custom Rogue! Thanks to David and the other Oklahoma guys for the great time last Friday.

That is awesome. I bet it was a ton of fun. If there are any Alembic owners anywhere in Georgia, please let me know.

You guys are such teases I swear!!!! Well I think we'll all have to make sure that we're all aware of where everyone lives so whenever one of us happens to be travelling either on business or on vacation that we see if we can get together for a fun time with our alembics.

So whenever anyone of you happen to be coming to the great white north (well as far as Toronto anyway) let me know and I'll be more than happy to show you all the sights and if it's summer time I may even take my 67'cherry red Mustang out and take you for a spin (with basses of course) to some of our local music stores or the studio where RUSH recorded their lastest CD.

Nancy :-)

Hey Nancy!
Maybe David will hurry up and get his Rogue and Vette we can plan a vacation to Toronto. I'm certain it would be a high point for us to take a CHEVY over to Geddy Lee's house. (My first car was a 66 Mustang with a GT and Pony package and even an in-dash 8 track! so not all Fords are completely unacceptable) So I guess you could let David's Series I carpool with you as we caravan to the Monster Jam at Geddy's house. ;)
