This has to be the most incredible fretless I've ever played. I cannot, simply cannot, believe that it's still for sale. it is absolutely an amazing instrument that plays like no other. I offered Mica a trade for my '81 series 1.5, but she wouldn't bite.

Bill, just go to the "showroom basses" section of the alembic store and it's the first one

Amen, Mike. That combination of woods immediately struck me as special. Plenty of fundamental, but not too much, consistent overtones and gobs of sustain.

I agree. It is absolutely stunning. One of the most beautiful Basses I've ever seen. I wish I lived close enough to be able to see it in real life. Wow!!!
As for why it still hasn't sold....well, I'll leave that to the obvious (although in my opinion, worth every penny).

I think I'd trade my old Series for it, even though it's only got the one filter. It sure makes me miss owning a fretless..

It was hard to hand it back to Mica when I played it. Wonderful bass.

That's stunning. If I didn't already have a fretless rogue 5 this would be high on my list of wants.
