Ok, here is my next look at the overdrive situation for my alembic guitars. I just wondered if anyone tried one of these twin tube overdrive pedals from AMT with an alembic guitar. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180690866024?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_2617wt_1002 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180690866024?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_2617wt_1002 This could be the pedal that works best with my alembics. It has a lot of saturation and compression in the lead tone which is what I like about my Rat Pedal when used on my non alembic guitars. I emailed the manufacturer this week and although it is listed as a pre-amp, it can still be used in line with normal effects pedals. It's not cheap but it seems to have a pretty comprehensive tone section and three modes and to my ears sounds decent. Any views? Here is another Twin Tube pedal I'm investigating It's a Mars New "TWIN TUBE" DUAL MODES http://marsfxusa.com/03.aspx Last weekend I bought a Twin Stomp S21 Overdrive pedal made by a small family business here in England which whilst is a good sounding pedal, it doesn't have the saturation I like in it and also the tone control is quite limited and seems to have more sweep in the brighter end of the range than the mellower lead tones I prefer since I use the neck pickup for lead rather than the bridge. http://www.twinstomp.com/new_page_15.htm Thankfully the company agreed that I can have a refund if not entirely happy with the sound so I'm gonna give it a last try this weekend with my fender Twin amp and Orion guitar.
