Hi all, Got another question, and hopefully it's an easy one. I've got a set of Alembic Activators (Jazz sized) and the matching electronics (Vol/Pan/Filter) that I want to install into a bass with a side mounted jack (Hamer CruiseBass w/ 2Tek for those interested). A direct retrofit would be ideal, but I don't know if it exists. I'm at work now, but I'll upload the pics this weekend. So, can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance, Joe |

Hi Joe, I'm also same situation for my Hamer B12-S. The bass has cylindrical stereo phone jack on body side. Almost powered guitars and basses are switched as short circuit (ring to earth). But Alembic instruments use the switch jack. I think following conversion. It's all right? Eiji |

A Switchcraft 152B jack should work. You can view and purchase one here. In this configuration you are actually switching the negative side of the battery when a cord is plugged in. |

This is awesome. Thanks guys, exactly what I was hoping for. I might hit you guys up for some further info on actually wiring this up. I'm not so good with proper wiring diagrams. Time to do some ordering! Joe |
