Mica and Val, Two quick questions..... Is Alembic going to be present at Summer NAMM? If so, will Stanley's 30th Anniversary Bass be there? Peace, James |

What?!?!?!? That's like Jack Nicholson not going to a Lakers game! That's like Lance Armstrong skipping the Tour de France! That's like Will Smith saying "I don't feel like doing a summer release this year"! That's like...(come on Alembic Clubbers, help me out here. I'm running out of corny metaphors)

But seriously, James, could you imagine what the 'Factory to Customer' thread would be like without Mica & Valentino for a week?? There would be such an uprising, the likes of which we have never seen! (I know of one major northeast airport that would be in complete and total disarray if this were to happen, am I correct Brother Kmh?) I believe the usual excuse (and rightly so) is "too busy building basses".............

eastcoastepic, I truly understand why Alembic isn't going to NAMM, and it's all good. I just got on a roll with the corny metaphors. Peace, James (Message edited by malthumb on July 25, 2004) |

I'd rather see Alembic save the cost of a NAMM presence (which would essentially be just saying "we're still doing what we've always been doing") and put that money into keeping prices at current levels as long as possible in the face of rising costs. (Or even put a few more sheckels into employee's pockets.) |

James you lost me on the Jack Nicholson metaphor. I understood Lance Armstrong and Will Smith but Jack and the Lakers went over my head. Sam |

Jack Nicholson is the LA Lakers #1 fan. He has season tickets at courtside. Whenever the Lakers are on national TV (all too often) the cameras delight in finding Jack and gauging his reaction to what ever's going on at the time. Diane Keaton is probably Fan #1A. The Knicks have Spike Lee. Peace, James |

Okay, ECEpic....ya got me! DNBurgess...Most year's I'd agree with you, but I'd bet that Stanley's bass and a couple of Balance K models on display would've turned NAMM on its ear this year. Peace, James |
