At the least, you'll probably need to adjust the intonation on the bridge, but if more than that is needed, it's not all that complicated - feel free to call, and I'll be happy to walk you through it. |

Hey Will, Actually, I like the strings on the Essence that it came with. I was thinking the low B on the MK Sig. Std. was floppy and that flat rounds with increased tension would be better. |

TI Jazz Flats are pretty low guage, low tension strings - the B is .118, at 27.55 lbs. I love the 4 string set for fretless, they're very responsive. At the other end of the tension spectrum, there's d'Addario Chromes - the B is .138 at 40.2 lbs. Never played these myself, but quite a number of members here use them. |

... or actually those are the numbers for the TI Jazz Rounds. The Jazz Flat low B is a tad beefier at .136 and 34.83 lbs. |

The TI's are the loosest strings I've ever played.. The truss rods will definitely need some tweaking.. John (Message edited by 811952 on October 09, 2011) |
