I know that if I had arranged to get an instrument through a dealer, there's a discount off list price for custom orders... However, for a finished instrument shown on the Yahoo Alembic store, is the price of an instrument located at the Alembic showroom the price shown on the screen, or would I be placing the order thru a dealer with the dealer discount? Boy what a long winded way of posting a simple question. :-D EffClef |

One thing's for sure: if you buy from the Alembic store, the price you see is the price you get. Go through a dealer. |

Aren't the basses shown in the Alembic Store already located at various dealers? Then it would seem that the price is the price already offered by the dealer. Of course, I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that most of the basses in the Store provide an address and phone number for those interested, and that those tend to be Alembic dealers. Peace, James |

Some are at dealers already, others are in the Alembic showroom on display. I imagine you can always have a dealer buy the thing from Alembic's showroom. That's gotta be the only way you're gonna get a discount on the thing (unless you wanna pay full price, LOL!). |

Hopefully Mica or Susan can say for sure when they have a moment. And yes, here I was just talking about ones listed in the "showroom" location. I would also think that bass-only stores might still be able to order a guitar, if we wanted to, since they're Alembic dealers. Have you checked the store lately? Some real beauties here. I've got a lefty coworker I'm trying to convince to order a Skylark custom! EffClef |

Sure, Superbass or Bass Central or Bass Northwest can order anything Alembic. Superbass had a nice new exploiter guitar in Amber flame maple for a killer price last year. Yeah, I've been in the store. They have tons of Skylark guitars and Orion Basses/Guitars. Ck out that "Custom Orion" 4-str bass. It's a beauty and it somehow looks quite familiar to me, LOL! |

I don't see any guitars at the site now, KMH... though I do love the wineburst Elan that sold there, and appeared on the Club gallery shortly thereafter! EffClef |

I think Kevin is talking about the Alembic store..... And yes, you can order a guitar through any Alembic dealer. I was talking to Bass NW about a custom Further prior to my Skylark purchase. They were very accommodating.... |

If you want to purchase directly from us at the published price, then just use the online order system. The items in the Alembic Store that are listed "On Display in Our Showroom" can be ordered through any dealer. Just tell them the number of the instrument you want (it's listed down by the price). Any Alembic can be ordered through any Alembic dealer. Even the more bass-centric dealers are happy to handle a guitar sale in our experience. I don't think Superbass has any guitars in stock right now. I'll be adding a red Exploiter body Skylark to the store ina few days. Tasty piece! |

Yes, I was referring to the Alembic store. They have the l'il bro/sis of my Custom Orion in their store (my thinly-veiled reference in my previous post). No, Steve at Superbass hasn't had a guitar in stock since that Amber Exploiter. He had trouble giving that one away (nobody wanted it on EBAY..he sold it eventually at a killer price). In hindsight, I should have bought it just to get my feet wet RE: Alembic's six-string varieties. At the time, I didn't want an explorer-shaped guitar. I could have stole that thing, LOL!! Oh well, shoulda, coulda, woulda, LOL! |
