The pan control would give you a range of tonal options from all Bridge through to all Neck, where the selector switch would give you just three options, Bridge, Neck, and Both. Of course combined with the Filter, Q switch, and Bass and Treble cut/boost switches, the Distillate already has a wide range of tonal choices; but the Elan Plus's pan control expands that range much further. vbob Junior Username: vbob Post Number: 22 Registered: 12-2010 Posted on Saturday, January 07, 2012 - 12:30 pm:    Thanks Dave.
