In the new issue of Bass Player on page 11 there is a feature of Jerry Mark. Not only does have such coveted items as an IN-2, he has a 70s Superfilter equipped custom and a Fender with Series guts. He needs an invite to our little party! Anyone know him? |

I was going to post about this too! Love the Jazz with the Alembic pickup at the neck and crazy guard for the extra controls! |

That is one sick SII lefty. Think the extra switches by the horn are for ???? LED's for sure. He's definitely SWR sponsored. I really like those blue combos. He is a San Fran player. I looked at his website and no pic's of him but there is a big one of that custom headless 6st bass. (Message edited by afrobeat_fool on January 12, 2012) |

I KNOW THIS GUY! He was a fellow Fender man at the Blue Bear School of Music circa 1972-73 at the old Ocean Ave. location. When I first arrived, a whole slew of bass players had modified their J Basses with Alembic stuff, though I couldn't tell you what, exactly, except they all had millions of knobs and a really thick, rich sound. I ran into Jerry at a NAMM show a few years back and he told me he's teaching, among other things. I remember him as a great guy! Those were magical times, with Chris, Kevin and Bonnie Hayes; Mark Needham (producer for several industry giants), etc. |

FYI, the bass he's holding is a headless through-body Modulus Quantum. I was pretty sure of the shape and configuration, but asked Geoff Gould who confirmed it. David Fung |

Looks like a BGW 750G in the bottom of his rack. A man with excellent taste! Then again, it might be the 250 model, as it does seem a bit small when I look at it again. They have LED meters, too. I still have a complete set of them (Including the 100 watt) packed somewhere in my music storage room, and spare 750's, too. Way too heavy to use, though, for this old guy these days. He does have a lot of cool stuff! |
