Serial # 88D5075. The seller says it's a Series I, but I don't think so. It looks more tricked out than the Distillates I remember. The price is $3900, which seems pricey. Thanks! |

88D5153 just sold on eBay for about $2K. It was a mint condition five string that appeared to have Series pickups and Distillate electronics. The "D" definitely makes it a Distillate serial number, but who knows what upgrades were put on it either from its birth or since? -Bob |

88D5075 is a Distillate. When it was built it had Distillate electronics and there's no record of us changing it over to Series I. Probably the body shape has confused the current owner as to what to call it. The file indicates it's a Standard Point body shape, and also that there's a top and back laminate of Coco Bolo. Coming up on it's birthday - August 31.

Thanks Mica. It's a beautiful bass in excellent condition, very well cared for. At $3900 I'd look for a used Series though. |
