Hello Alembic World, I'm putting together a small tool kit for my "87" Persuader. I have most of it in place but I have 2 questions. 1- What is the size of the nut on the bridge that holds the adjustment for the intonation from moving? Tiny!! 2- Is there a "Standard" for all Alembic Bass’s? Example: does all bridges use the same size hardware. It looks like Alembic uses SAE not Metric hardware. I other words the Tool size for all Bridge, Activator hieght,Truss rods,Nut and so on. Thank You Pete |

Good day Peter. I just tuned-up my new (used) Excel. Here are the tools I used: Nut: 5/64'' Allen key Bridge: Height adjustment: 5/64'' Allen key Intonation: 7/64'' Allen key that I cut to fit between the bridge and the string plate. If you take the bridge apart to polish it you also need a 5/32'' wrench for the intonation nut. Trust rod: 1/4'' wrench Screws: Phillips screwdriver. Hope this helps. Alain |

It's handy to have a "ball-end" type of allen wrench (or driver) for the intonation so you can tweak it at an angle. The business end looks like this: Jimmy J |
