This may be old hat. But while my Electronics are at the Mother Ship. I'm taking the time to give my 85 Distillate a major Buff and Shine. To my surprise (Perhaps shouldn't have been) I found the block of Solid Brass under the Bridge. Heavy Solid Brass. Details, Details, very Impressive.

My MK signature gets full overall every 6 month, disassemble the whole thing and polished to high gloss.
Sure shines at the gigs!!!

Being new to the Alembic world (About 4 months now) it's nice to be once again struck be the workmanship of these fine Instruments. I think it was actually holding it outside the Bass that struck me. This part isn't very well known but very intrinsic to the sound.
