we've all seen the countless threads on what the best short scale strings are but with my recent purchase of a 32" Persuader I'm wondering what is best for it? Can I use long scale strings and not worry about any "floppy strings"? any info/experiences help!

I use 45-105 DR Fat Beams, the Marcus Miller set, on my Spoiler. Regular long scales, and not sloppy at all. And they definitely put out more lows than LowRiders or HiBeams. I remember having d'Addarios in the same gauges, no floppiness whatsoever.

Scale of the strings won't affect floppiness. Only the gauge and construction will. I use long scale, light gauge DR Sunbeams regularly on my SI shorty and they feel great!
