Val or Mica may want to add their comment to this. Alembic is a small company, where many folks have multiple responsibilities. In addition to her many other jobs, Mica is the keeper and guardian of the Alembic website. I've bugged Mica personally in past months about when she would be posting the new month's special (because those who are thinking about ordering are curious and get impatient). Suffice it to say, in all those cases, Mica has been tied up taking care of priority business for customers and others whose needs were more urgent (i.e. taking care of details to get construction started on someone's new bass).

I always went away agreeing with Mica's sense of priorities. Not that it was any of my business - it's her and the others' company! But I have always found that Alembic places the highest priority on their customers' most immediate needs. Having spent a bit of time dealing with Alembic, I am glad they do! Sometimes (often) that means we have to wait for things like the new monthly special or the Featured Custom to be posted. It's worth the wait, but when you are anxiously waiting to see whether this is the month you will order something, its frustrating just the same.

Anyway - that's my two cents.

Bill, the bass one (TBO? What do you think, Paul?)

I understand that, along with all the other hats she wears, Mica is also now doing the accounting. Needless to say, it's amazing she gets to the website at all. While I've certainly been guilty of same while they were constructing my custom, just have a little patience. She'll get around to posting the new special and COM shortly.

Posted ?????

Ooooops ...this time wrap US/EU is working moer weird from month to month ....I only see the bass ready to take sea!!!!!

BTW ....Bill ...I think they just throw a coin every month. and then they start a fight because there are -obviously- a lot of people who don't garee with the choice. After that there is a "no-talk-to-each-other-period" at Alembic that slows down all the work (basically the reason why Rami is still waiting for his last 3 (three) basses.
Mmmm ...just joking.

Settle down boys and girls, Mica and I are working on the October Featured Custom as I write this post. BTW-She's a stunner.

Gotta go-have many new inlays to draw. There will be plenty of eye candy in the months to come.

Can't wait to see the latest masterpiece. Shame I'm so far ahead (in time) here. It's 10.25 am in scotland, - probably the middle of the night in your part of the USA.

Jacko, I think you'll find that California is GMT minus 7 hours, so that was 3.25 am. Guess we'll have to wait a little longer for the latest masterpiece.

Hi adriaan. We're still on british summertime so we've another hour to add on. The timestamp says 02:23 anyway. Made the same mistake with the Mount saint helens webcam on monday, got into work to find it was black - forgot it was just past midnight over there ;-)

I was thinking about summertime, and as far as I'm aware the US is also on summertime. The timestamp - well, that's probably the web server or the newsgroup software not conforming.

Now you've got me waiting for daylight to reach Mt Saint Helens ...(http://www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/volcanocams/msh/)
