Dave... the vermilion core is SO cool. The red hue is really deep, almost mesmerizing. It's my favorite part too.

Vermillion is a bit of an under-appreciated wood, IMO-- the vermillion core on my bass has a subtle, but beautiful chatoyance.

My custom Further, Woody, also has a vermilion core. Love the cocobolo on this one. Of course,as you can see, I also have a thing for swirly coco. Beautiful guitar, Pat. Enjoy!
