I realized that I didn't have my DS5R with me, so I had to play on batteries last night. All you kids who complain that the batteries die fast are completely wrong*: My batteries are original, from 4.7 years ago. And they worked fine. Bradley * This is meant with my normal level of cheekiness. They did work fine, but I never play on battery. There were a few moments of trepidation between the "oh, I don't have the power supply", and "hey, the batteries work!" I should probably add that I never run on batteries. I should probably take them out so they don't leak. I should get a pony**. ** I really like Terry Pratchett*** *** His footnotes are the best part of his books. I was disappointed in _The Long Earth_ for this reason. |

This is just one reason why every musician should carry a screwdriver and a package of 9 volt batteries. It's saved me and my buddies more than once. |

Make sure to pack each bass you take to gig with the tools mentioned above, plus the correct truss rod adjustment tool(s) and bridge adjustment wrench(es). For you Fender players out there, the "FatFinger" for each bass may also make sense. And don't forget an extra set of strings while you are at it. |
