I have never really been away, but I am coming back to the fold. I couldn't be happier. Looks like I will be getting hold of Wally's 6-string Orion. I can now go from being occasionally annoying to a regular pest. Will post some pics as soon as Wally sends them over, and more when I get my grubby little (?) hands on it. No...it isn't another Series, but by gum it's an Alembic. One miracle at a time!!!

Finally got a chance to do a setup and put new strings on her. Played it through a fairly decent rig (SWR 210 Red Combo) . My first experience with these electronics and a 6 string has been most excellent. It will take me a minute. This bass is not the '81 Koa, but is extremely responsive and articulate. I am very impressed. I knew I would be, it just didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. 8^) Can't wait to hear it through my big rig (SWR 750, Accugroove T210L). It's an Alembic, after all...

Any Orion pointers, thoughts, and advice would be most welcome...

Blessings...Steve

gorgeous flame on that maple.

No real advice on the Orion electronics, but pretty please get some lemon oil and treat that fretboard to a scrub and soak! ;)

That's tonight...I meant to do it at the store today but left the oil I use at home. Gonna get the Dr. Duck's treatment...
