I have never really been away, but I am coming back to the fold. I couldn't be happier. Looks like I will be getting hold of Wally's 6-string Orion. I can now go from being occasionally annoying to a regular pest. Will post some pics as soon as Wally sends them over, and more when I get my grubby little (?) hands on it. No...it isn't another Series, but by gum it's an Alembic. One miracle at a time!!! |

Finally got a chance to do a setup and put new strings on her. Played it through a fairly decent rig (SWR 210 Red Combo) . My first experience with these electronics and a 6 string has been most excellent. It will take me a minute. This bass is not the '81 Koa, but is extremely responsive and articulate. I am very impressed. I knew I would be, it just didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. 8^) Can't wait to hear it through my big rig (SWR 750, Accugroove T210L). It's an Alembic, after all... Any Orion pointers, thoughts, and advice would be most welcome... Blessings...Steve |

gorgeous flame on that maple. No real advice on the Orion electronics, but pretty please get some lemon oil and treat that fretboard to a scrub and soak! ;) |

That's tonight...I meant to do it at the store today but left the oil I use at home. Gonna get the Dr. Duck's treatment... |
