I have a (non-Alembic) Tiger tribute and I'm looking for the "just exactly right" strap buttons. Old Gibson's shape looks close, but not big enough. One theory is that Doug used Alembic-made buttons? Anyone know? Are they available? Thanks. |

FWIW, my early Alembics do seem to have fairly large strap buttons. Bill, the guitar one |

If you ask me, the "just exactly right" strap buttons for anything are Schaller strap locks; I'll pass on the historical accuracy of an instrument hitting the floor with one end attached, thanks! Peter |

We never made strap buttons, but I do like those old big ones too. As far as I know there hasn't a source for them for decades. |

I found some that are very close. On ebay, from the UK, around $5! I had to drill out the hole to like 11/64" in order to use a beefy enough screw. They're about twice the size of the usual "Gibson" style buttons usually found. http://www.ebay.com/itm/190681846150?var=490069058228&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 |

Not historically correct, but larger: https://www.allparts.com/AP-0684-010-Oversized-Chrome-Buttons_p_440.html |
