Love the "*" on the guitar history section of his site which refers to instruments that were either
"sold, stolen, or destroyed." Four guitars are listed with the "*." Curious as to what happended, John doesn't look like the type who would go in for destroying an instrument

We don't do freebie endorsements. John's a paying customer. We're super pleased he's playing that Orion guitar, it sounds really awesome in his hands.

John was the original (for ~15 years) lead guitarist for Dark Star Orchestra, now with Further and Phil Lesh & Friends, Terry.

Terry; he plays an absolutely beautiful Alembic guitar in an absolutely wonderful band. See this thread. I've posted a couple links to youtube videos in that thread as well.

Thanks for the info and putting me straight but not really my scene all that post Dead stuff, I agree, very nice guitar indeed!
