I was one of those that leaned toward the "snobby" side of the fence. Every Alembic is a voice, and, unfortunately for everyone else, their entry level stuff is already better at least than everything out there. These two "set neck" models are seriously bad motor scooters. The Orion is a band eater. I expect nothing less from the Epic. Articulation and power, baby!!! I have never had a problem with the stands, though this is not what I usually use for anything, especially an Alembic. My 60's Yamaha beach guitar sits in that one. Thanks for the lookouts, though. Need to work on a better pic. The Zebra top (what we were told by the previous owner) is really beautiful. I am loving it more and more. Just an amazing instrument.
