Stinger Omega option?

Author Message jlpicard Intermediate Member Username: jlpicard Post Number: 113 Registered: 7-2002 Posted on Monday, December 20, 2004 - 4:46 pm:    I am thinking about ordering the Stinger O for my new bass and I am wondering if there many out there that have this option on their bass and might be able to shed some light on what it's like in day to day gigging/living with. Do you have to be extra careful? Is it inconvienent or cumbersome in any way? Need a special stand, etc? I am bulding a showpiece bass yes, but I still plan to use this bass regularly and I have a feeling that the stinger might be a drawback in some ways. I know it's sturdy and I like the look but it makes me a little nervous. What do you folks think? No need to worry about the Stinger 'tail' breaking off. Just my .02 worth.......good luck. And I've got a bass with the standard point and I've never had problem one with it. You know when you are watching TV and sitting around with your bass at the same time. I tend to be more cognitive with how I rest my bass when I am slouching on the couch. But for normal use, the omega never poses a problem for me.
