Hey all Alembicians,
Just a note to say, forget my Distillate wanted ad. I ordered a custom Essence, but with the body shape & headstock of the classic Brown Bass & a few added extras, which for the most part I get for free under this month's special (15% off custom options). I'll be recieving my new baby by sometime in March, 2005. Can't wait! Valentino was a GREAT help in co-designing my new bass all within my budget. It's a hybrid lovely bastard child of an Essence Mom & a Brown Bass Dad,mixed marriage.LOL. California Walnut facings with a red Mahogany body, 3pc maple neck, all brass hardware, added "Q" switch, added bridge block, and classic mother of pearl oval inlays, narrower & flatter '72 Jazz bass like neck, high gloss body & satin neck. I'm pysched! I'll be taking pics of her for sure. I thank you all for looking out for me & thank Alembic BIG TIME for making it all happen in a short 3 month time! Cheers,

the lad,

Yeeeaaahhh!!!, that's what I'm talkin' about, making a decision to go for the gusto! Can't wait to see the hybrid creation. I am on the prowl for a Brown Bass myself, so I can't wait to see your bass. Be sure to post pics, I'll be looking out for it. Welcome to the club, and Happy New Year!!!

Hey Darrell,
Yeah bro, that's what I'm talkin' about too! Thanks for the cool encouragement on my new order. There's a used Brown Bass at BassCentral in mint condition for $3495. There's a blow out sale on a new one at Bass Northwest for only $3799 since you say you're on the prowl. My hybrid (thanks to Valentino) is only costing me a total of $3095 plus shipping thru Washington Music. I chose the lesser priced Protec case to keep the price down. It costs half the price of the Alembic hard shell case. I will post pics of her when she arrives by the end of March, 2005. I hope the above info may have helped you in your quest for a Brown Bass. (Love that bass!)Happy New Year, Darrell ! Cheers,

You're welcome, Darrell. Success with that. The 'ol spyglass indeed, kungfusheriff. I'll wipe mine clean with some windex first for a clear view. Happy new year all !

Be patient on the FTC front! from what I gathered in my last minute dealings, Alembic sold an awful lot of instruments this week. I suspect that they will be unusually busy the first quarter of the year before the world might start to settle down.

Robes, don't count on seeing your bass by the end of March........I could be wrong, but I put in my order in 10/28 and construction has not begun yet ( mind you I'm not complaining in any way) lead times for SII said early march 05, good things come to those who wait, I look foward to the arrival of my Series II Triple Omega six string bass w/ pistol grip, heart omega and LED's, I've waited a long time for a instrument like this, it will be worth the wait !!!!

to all Alembicans.....Happy New Year ;o)

I'll take into consideration what you guys shared with me on the time frame of construction issue. Thanks. Let's see what happens. I hope to have my bass for the Spring for I will be using it to record on the album I am working on with my brother. It's a new band project we're putting together. A custom Alembic is surely worth the wait (but not too long I hope.LOL). Happy new year guys! Thanks for the time taken to write me. Cheers,

Well, simple equals sooner, and changes will result in delays. If you're looking for the instrument sooner rather than later, get those changes you're thinking about finalized in a hurry. Also, get Valentino's opinion on how they might affect delivery dates.

Thanks guys for the added thoughts & support! I will lock in all pertinent construction info this Monday with Valentino or Mica. I know what I want now & will let them know so as not to delay construction unnecessarily. Thanks again!
