I am trying to find info on this Bass. A Natural Maple Custom Made Bass by Alembic alumnus Bob Malone. There is no serial number on the Bass but it is supposed to be the first Bass that Bob Malone made after he left Alembic back in 1988 or 1989 to start his own company called Axis Basses. I am selling it for a friend of mine by the name of Patrick Williamson; he said he does know the Wickersham family from when he lived in CA and worked at Mesa Boogie. DESCRIPTION 5 String Bass, Medium Scale 32" (almost 44" in length) Three (3) solid laminations, Natural Quilted or Flamed Maple on the front of the body and Natural Birdseye Maple on the back and possibly Natural Rock Maple on the neck Gold Veneer throughout the trim Eleven (11) Lamination on the Neck and through the body construction Width at nut is 1 3/4" and at 24th fret is almost 2 3/4") Width of body, at widest points, is almost 13 1/2" Two (2) Trust Rods in the neck and through the neck body Ebony Fret board, 24 Frets Alembic Pickups, Bridge and Tuning Keys GHS Bass Strings Deep Cut Horn for easy access to high notes Any info would be great! Thanks!! I’ll try to post some pics, but just incase they don’t come through you can see it at ebay Item #3771634359 (Message edited by timlynn on January 01, 2005) |
