Sorry they're only iPhone photos. If anyone want higher res, shoot me an email. Conversely, if anyone objects to any of the photos, I'll take them down.

My pleasure. I had a blast seeing all of the projects and the wood vault! Pictures don't do any of this justice; the place must be seen in person to get the full impact. Everyone was so nice and accommodating and very professional. There were several instruments I was instructed not to photograph, really exciting pieces!

Brings back memories of my trip there last year. Fascinating insight into the instrument building process.

I object to the photos. You didn't manage to get a shot of my in progress baby.

Hahahahahahaha!!!

Thanks Graeme!

Jonathan- The room where my guitar was revealed to me is a blur; there were several amazing instruments in that room that I thought I had pictures. I must've had a Transient Ischemic Attack or perhaps a Transient Alembic Attack. I took a video of my guitar during which there's an idiot saying stuff in a voice that sounds remarkably like my own.

So, it was either in there or Ron was putting in the electronics.
Sorry, I know how you feel. Graeme was kind enough to report on my instrument a year ago!

John,

Thanks for looking. I will actually be making my first pilgrimage to the Mothership at the end of October. Sure it will all be a blur when I'm through as well. Most likely a combination of amazing instruments and lacquer fumes.

Awesome, would love to visit mothership. Glad you had a great time! Shared your trip with others so they could maybe understand what Alembic is all about.

Was just there in mid-August, looks basically the same - yet different..

FWIW: I saw that piece of 3D quilted maple - whoever spec'd it for their instrument is getting an AMMMMAZING top.

One (among many) of the fun things about visiting Alembic is seeing the incredible instruments being crafted which never show up in the FTC or Showcase pages.

Those racks were pretty full when I was there last year and it looks like they are full of instruments now so it seems Alembic are still attracting buyers. Long may it continue.
