Any idea what string gauge is used by the factory on Mark King Signatures. I'm about to change them for the first time and like the tension etc, so would like to get the same gauge but can't tell if they are 100 - 40's, 105 to 45's, or any other.

The standard strings on 4 string basses are Alembic's CX-3/45L .045 .065 .080 .105

Alan; I believe it to be the case that two sets of strings of the same gauge from different manufacturers will not necessarily have the same tension.
