Hi,

A while back I sent a customer service email (#410) through the website. After re-sending it to most of the emails on the site 6 weeks later and a few phone calls later I still haven't had a reply and need some help. I appreciate that people are busy but my bass needs some TLC.

I need some replacement adjustable nut screws as the middle one on my Stanley Clarke has fallen out. Also I need to replace a tuning peg but as my bass is 12 years old I figured I should probably replace them all.

Also the tailpiece has started to tarnish over the last few years. As my bass is from 2001 I believe that this is possibly due to the thickness of brass issue described elsewhere.

Happy to provide my serial number and all that jazz, but I'd be really grateful for a reply as to how much this would cost as well as shipping to the UK.

Cheers
Andy

We are changing over our ISP and I think the helpdesk email replies aren't going through :-( I will put a note to just email me directly on the help page until the changeover is complete.

The tuning pegs with the Alembic "A" are backordered now, expecting them in about a month or so. The tailpiece is solid brass, so it's quite thick. You'll have to remove the polyester coating (probably best by sanding then buffing) in order to polish.

Meanwhile, look for an email with some details from my email address.

Hi,

I appreciate that this might have got lost in the Christmas rush, but I haven't received the screws and I think that my emails aren't getting through or whatever as I haven't had any replies.

If you can email me and let me know if they've been sent and if the gold tuners are in stock and if so, how I might order them.

Cheers

Wishful thinking on my part! I received your email on Sunday, and I guess I didn't read it carefully enough, because I understood exactly the opposite that you had received the screws. I'll have to resend them, sorry.

I'll have to send it again, and I'm still waiting on the tuners for now. I heard last it might be another 4-5 weeks, I had to resubmit my artwork.

Hello, Mica!
I bought a bass that does not have adjustment screws in the nut. This is Alembic Europa 6 serial 94U8404.

In my country, these screws buy quite impossible. All I hope is only for you. I wrote to you on mail, but unfortunately the answer is not received. Can you sell and send me these screws?

PS. Previously I have you already bought two knobs and a potentiometer for my first Alembic.

Marat - I just checked my spam filter for your message and found it there. Is the address you sent to me still valid? If not, please email me again with the shipping address exactly as it should appear on the shipping label (I've added you so that it won't go to spam now).

Andy - I popped another envelope in the post box down the street when I went to lunch with my dad. Yes, we go to lunch at all weird hours.

Mica, I send it again. Maybe it was again blocked by a spam filter?

I think you aren't getting my messages in reply. I sent you the little parts as a gift - there is no charge for them. Enjoy!

Hi Mica, I've been trying to get mails through for a while too. I'd like to buy a tuner when they're in.

Thanks,
Justin

They aren't in yet, Jusin. I'm hoping for a February delivery.

wolverine..the issue with your tarnished tail piece. When these are polished in the factory they are coated with a a laquer to prevent this..if it wears off then air will cause it to dull as it did with my MK Signature. The cure, remove the tail piece and strip the laquer with a chemical stripper and then polish with a metal polish. You can re laquer using an aerosol spray but I didn't bother. Hope this helps

Sadly I had a miscommunication with the distributor, so I now expect the tuners to arrive in late April :-(
