Hi to all my Alembic Brethren. Sorry it's been awhile since I checked in, I've been working hard with my band Glass completing our first studio album in 27 years! It's called "Illuminations" and will be released this month on the Musea label. Theres a cool Review of it here along with an in-depth Interview where I just HAD to mention Alembic, my baby SN 74-52 and Ron Wickersham of course!

Attached is a picture of the cover and I'll keep you all posted as to when it will be available in stores. Again, THANK YOU Mr. Wickersham and everyone at Alembic (and let's not forget Michael D here at the club (Dela) for his help in getting my bass back to spec and ready for her first recording in a LONG time. . she did NOT disappoint!

Peace,

Jeff Sherman aka Bucky

Jeff-Boy!
There's always fun in mentioning Alembic and the Wickershams in the liner notes and confusing everybody who doesn't play bass, isn't there?
Play her right,

KFS:

You got THAT right(-; And then theres the thought of some kid seeing the pictures my 1974 Small Standard, printing them out or copying them, running down to his local music store and saying I want *THIS* bass. .

Perhaps his local music store will have a Time Machine in the back, eh?

Great to hear from you!

Likewise!
That is a funny image, but he'd have to get ahead of me in line...I just love that bass. And as for the time machine, well, some crank tried to sell one on eBay a few months back, did you catch that? If not, the guy was obviously crazier than six rats in a coffee can but blessed with a wonderfully dry wit...I think the questions and answers page got more hits than the actual auction!
Be well,
KFS

Thats hillarious! I love the saying "crazier than six rats in a coffee can" . . I'm going to have to use that one! Didn't catch that posting. . but if you happen to run into him again, let's jet back and pick up a couple more Alembics. Heck we'd make a fortune selling them here in 2005!

Perhaps someday if we Alembicians (hows that for a made-up word!) get our long talked of Convention together we'll get to meet and you'll get to actually play my Baby in realtime. . when it happens we'll both be there. .

Take Care. .
