Dear Folks, Good evening. Hey yall I am new to the listserve, based in Portland, OR and play bass and guitar. I recently acquired a stratoblaster for my axe (79 Strat). What is a good power supply for this that is not super expensive and non-rackmountable, so I wont have to change batteries so ofter and/or at a gig! And I could plug it into my 9volt daisy chain if possible? Secondly has anyone had to re-route the output jack chamber in order to allow for the stratoblaster to fit? |

The battery on a Stratoblaster will last a LONG time. One trick for easy-to-get-to battery placement on a Strat is to turn the output jack plate upside down. Then there's lots of room in the jack cavity and you can get to your battery with just two screws and without having to cut any wood. Here's a pic of a 12 string Strat I did this on for the Alembic electronics battery: And welcome to the club. Bill, the guitar one |

This is one of those 'out of the way' products that would seem really handy for something. 9- or 18v, stereo cable for power. EMG developed these for guys who wanted to put EMG's in a vintage axe without re-routing, put your old pickups back in later if desired. Clever. http://www.emgpickups.com/accessories/power-supplies.html J o e y |
