Can anyone tell me: is the Alembic case for a 4 string Essence rectangular in shape, or is it molded to the general shape of the guitar, as in most acoustic guitars? I'm looking to max out storage space. Thanks. |

Hey Michael, None of my Essences even came with cases. Strange, considering what they cost. I purchased generic rectangular cases for them here. They work fine but since the Essence has such a narrow body, there's quite a gap between the body and the interior sides of the case. I recommend that (if you're ordering a new Essence) you request a case with a form fitting interior - G&G make the best cases. You can also easily stuff it in a gig bag. |

Thanks, Rami, but I'm asking about the design of the factory case. Anyone know? |

The factory cases are G&G cases, standard black tolex rectangular exterior with form fitted interiors. Many of our distributors do not import cases with our instruments because of higher import duties on these items. That's why you didn't get cases with the basses you bought at Steve's in Montreal. Of course, we do insist that all Series I/II instruments and anything with a point or omega is shipped in a case. |

Hey Mica, Dave was always gracious enough to include a case at no additional charge with every Alembic I purchased. It's a deluxe plush lined rectangular case that they sell for around $75. It's a perfect fit for my Excels, but just a little loose for the Essences. |
