Truss rod tool for an Exploiter

Will a gentle touch and any small 1/4" combination wrench do? Thanks! Craftsman brand will certainly fit, some toolmakers include very wide jaws on the open end which are hard to fit on basses with 2 truss rods. The moment I needed to adjust I just went out to a hardware store and discovered that the " = inch thing is not THAT easy to find in Europe. We have another metric system.
