Just wondering what the weight of a 6-string Epic is on average and also wondering how the tone controls differ appreciably from the low pass filter of an Essence or higher-end model, etc. I saw one on Craigslist and it looks like it's in nice shape but I think I still want to wait for an Essence, Rogue, or Europa to become available at a fair price (5 or 6-string, depending on weight).

I can't guess on the weight, but Epics are pretty small in terms of body size, but so are Essences...

Control wise, you'll find a more traditional V/P/B/T setup, as opposed to the filter(s) found on the other electronic packages.

I love the electronics package on my 6-string Europa. The neck is very wide, however and of course adds appreciably to the weight (11.2 lbs).
Controls: Vol/Pan/Filter/Bass cut-flat-boost/Treble cut-flat-boost/Q.
