Hello everyone! My friend Kenny Wittman revised my old rack system from 51 llbs to 36 llbs!! The following are front and rear shots. The blue LEDs in the front of my rack kinda messed up the photo. I updated my effects & now I use the TC "G" system & misson expression pedal; In place of my old EBS Octave pedal I'm using the "Great Divide" by Godlyke.(IMHO) The Great Divide has even more thunderous earth shaking lows along with magnificent tracking capabilities and the lows don't "poop out" the Roland EV5 Expression pedal adds more or less bottom. I'm a very happy man! |

Chalie; the updates to your system sound great, but the picture isn't there. At one point, I considered the G system; it's a nice approach to controlling effects and signal path. |

If you want, email them to me and I'll resize and upload for you. As an aside, we are still working on a platform upgrade, one result of which should be easier picture handling. |

Very nice! I thought about moving from my Lexicon MPX G2 to the TC G System, but I couldn't find one to try out or enough information on routing opportunities. Let us know what you think! What are those speakers? |

Thanks for posting the photos Dave! Thanks for the compliments Ed and Sonicus! Ed,the speakers on the left are Kappa lite 3010 LF (Low frequency) and the set on the right are Kappa lite 3010 HO (high output) and those speakers kick major butt!! Although my speaker cabinet design is old now, I came up with it 12 years ago by accident. I had an old Peavey 2x10 over 18" speaker cabinet and it was heavy, so I got Kenny to literally cut it in half. I liked it so much that I had him build me 2 cabinets then I ported the rear and they sound awesome and I can carry both at the same time!!! When I compared them to my Bag End D10 BX-D's I couldn't tell the difference in sound quality at all. As far as routing opportunities for the G system,I think that anything you can think of doing is possible to program but I'm a simple guy and came up with 10 pre-sets that I liked & programed it in the G system. Lastly, on occasion I will add my EBS envelope filter by simply plugging it into Loop 3 and all I have to do is step on loop 3 and it's "in the mix"!! www.usspeaker.com/kappalite3010lf-1.htm & www.usspeaker.com/kappalite3010ho-1.htm |

I'm with Dave - lots to like in that picture... coupla' buds jamming in the air conditioning on a sunny afternoon. And there's literally nothing to dislike about that Series I (?!) Distillate! And a drummer named Ace? C'mon, that's pure poetry. Nice! |

How much does the lower pickup switch get in the way of slapping? Slapping doesn't form a major part of my paying but I do depending on the gig. It is one of the things that has made me resist going for older models with the pickup selector in that position. What is your experience? |

LOL!! on the stangulation of the alien Zep!! Thanks for kudos Woodyb lue! I'm unsure if the bass is chambered or not Barnes, that might be a question for the Mothership. Jazzy, that pickup selector was a bit of a problem when I first got the Distillate because my pinky would hit the pointed end & man did taht hurt!! So I just flipped the knob so that the rounded edge is in the "up" position and that solved the issue!!! |

Thank you sooo much for the compliments Dennis. Since Kenny Revamped my rig, it takes about 20 minutes to set it up and that's at a slow pace. Hey Pete! I was really to snag my Distillate. It was listed at Bass Northwest. I knew that I wanted a shorty series bass & when I saw it.... Blamo!! Janis, my wife wanted to get me a special Christmas present so I showed her the Distillate and she got it for me!! Janis thinks that I'm nuts because each Christmas she'll ask me what I want and I tell her that the Alembic is it and I don't want anything else!...Well maybe some hair! |

Hey Matt, I just love that Alemnibc sound!!The place where that photo was taken is called "The Bull Run" in Lewisburg Pa. I'm the "house bassist" and I bring 2 basses, one for the guest bassist and my Distillate for me! Lost of guys want to play it, but I'm really "touchy" about it. I used to feel guilty about being so guarded about that but not anymore. I'll post a photo of my guests bass, the modified Scheckter (sp), I had a lot of stuff done to it. |

Chalie, the alien your neighbor tormented is making pictures disappear. (They're a lot harder to kill than you'd think. Trust me.) Could you please repost the close up of the body of your Alembic? That's one of my favorite bass pics of all time. It's such a beautiful picture. (Message edited by Ed_zeppelin on August 27, 2015) |

Hey Chalie - no shame in being protective of your baby. I am very hesitant to let anyone play mine. Close friends are find; strangers rolling into an open jam? No thank you. Ed- I just saw 'the alien' I think your right! That arm is awfully long and thin . . . . . As I have heard a great bassist say more than once: "Keep it low, stay out of treble!" ;-D |
