I just got a SuperFilter SF-2, it did not come with the usual Alembic Power supply. Below is a picture of what was sent with the unit...is this ok? If not what do I need? Thank you |

There is a post on this question in the FAQ section here, which says: "A wide voltage range is acceptable, from 10.5 - 17VDC with a miniature coaxial connector. Important: Make sure the center contact of the connector is positive. If you use the wrong polarity, a choke will burn out and need replacing, but the rest of the unit will be intact." |

Can you please describe where I would look for the center contact, is this on the plug itself? I apologize for my ignorance with these type of things. (Message edited by Bassman8416 on July 24, 2015) |

Next to "Made in China" is the plug layout ;-) (only reliable if the lead is intact) |

What Flip said. That little diagram to the right shows the plug layout and polarity. Keith |

Can't tell the picture is too small for my old eyes to read the label but if it shows the center circle as positive and the outer circle as negative then yes it would be ok polarity wise. Keith |

I updated the FAQ to include information about the current requirements at Keith's suggestion. Can't be too complete! |

I just had to get another power supply for mine. 55ma isn't much of a current draw! Of course, as soon as I bought the new power supply I found the old one. |

This why this company is top class outstanding, what other CEO would bother to furnish this information or even reply to the ordinary guy in the street! |
