Has anyone else been having problems with the Alembic site over the last 12 hours or so? Or is it just me?

I couldn't get there last night, despite clearing my cache and rebooting; and posting doesn't seem to be going smoothly this morning.

Power outage last night - 1000 customers without electricity, including our ISP. It's gonna be burpy for the next few hours probably while we get everything reconfigured. Dad was at the ISP all last night helping get everyone's servers restored.

Today we had a power outage at Alembic, along with 1750 other PGE customers. Servers are on-site and were down for several hours, but all seems to be going well again.

Ah, yes deregulation will improve reliability and reduce our bills. One of the biggest loads of poppycock I've ever heard.
Glad to hear the power is back on.

Gerbils don't eat much, and those little wheels spin forever with a little graphite dust on the axle. Just a thought.

I was a Regional Construction Supervisor for Virginia Power for 30 years. I know what deregulation has done for the pockets of the CEO's, CFO's and the holding companies. They are very deep and full. Without deregulation they had to settle for smaller bonus's and stock options. Now they have a larger audience to collect from.

Okay, if this gets too political, please forgive me. The recent administration has made calls to privatize medicare to "reduce inefficiency." Well, recent studies tend to indicate about 2% waste in the current program, and about 27% in the equivalent private industry. Makes me laugh.

Mica, With your server going down, I've lost your latest photo posting in Factory to Customer. Could you please repost when you get the chance and any new updates please.
Thanks, Michael DeVincenzo.

I'm working on figuring out the problem, which I now understand to be most if not all the photos posted on Dec 7th and 8th. Hopefully within a few days the pictures will magically reappear. If not, I'll be reposting, I still have the photos of course :-)
