Is it possible to get a high quality and well padded gig bag that will fit my Tribute nicely? I know the case is the best protection, but it is very large and not always convenient for practices and gigs. Thanks |

Thanks keavin! I am going to try a ProTec bag they had at Alembic. It sounds like pretty good protection on the sides and back, with a pocket, etc..., and Valentino grabbed a Tribute they had on hand and made sure it fit for me. I LOVE the customer service at Alembic, so I felt it was only right to buy the gig bag from them. But I will look around for the future. My experience with gig bags (Ritter) is that they fall apart sooner or later. I've heard that Reunion Blues bags are very nice and last a long time. |

Dave, I have a ProTec "bag" (kinda half way between a gig bag and a hard case-- they use styrofoam as for the walls). It is very nice, reasonably light, protects well and is durable. I've had mine for 12 years, and it is still in good condition. My bass fell 3 feet to the ground in it, and didn't even go out of tune. I like them so much that I bought one for my father-in-law when I bought him a Schilke trumpet (they're like the Alembic of trumpets). They are great cases. Brad |

Thanks for the positive feedback Brad. I'm looking forward to my new bag and it should arrive this week. The hard case is just too large and heavy for gigging. Dave |
