Greetings all and Mica,

I've had my 'Filter for a while now, and I really like it, and I would like to be able to have a stereo input on the front for my Chapman Stick(tm), routing one side to one filter and the other side to the other. I've opened the unit up, and the jacks on the rear of the unit are direct mounted to a circuit board, which would make a rewiring of the two rear input to a front TRS input a bit tricky. Any thoughts on how difficult a mod like this might be? Might there be an insert point for the second channel on the primary circuit board that could be utilized for this purpose, if the input preamp gain was disabled? I plan on using this unit at instrument level ouputs. I have a proffesional amplifier technician in town that could do a good job if a schematic is avalable for this unit. Thanks.

Have you received an answer from Alembic already? If not, you should directly send an email to Mica or Ron. I remember when I got my F2B/SF2 setup I asked about additional inputs on my F2B rear side, so all the cable connections could take place there (since the powersupply and the SF2 both already have in- and outputs on the rear). Ron provided me with a schematic of a possiple setup so I could achieve those additional rear inputs myself. To be honest, I have not made the modification yet, but it shows how helpfull Ron responds to custom ideas like these. I am sure he would have the answer for your question just the same.

Mica, maybe this could become a new part on the Alembic website or this club: Custom modifications and the required schematics?

Hartmut

Check, 1,2

Any thought from a person from Alembic on this post?
Was asking for a schematic the wrong thing to do?
It's a simple mod, really, just want it to be done right.

Hi Andrew,

I suggest you knock gently on Mica's door or Ron's. You'll find their e-mail addresses on the Home-page with personel.
However, I'm as curious as you.
Good luck!
