Hi everyone,
I am looking for a gigbag for my skylark. I actually bought a ProTec case that is really nice, sturdy...etc..., but the skylark's headstock was too big. I can't seem to find a gigbag that's tall enough for it. I don't want too much bigger, like a bass case either.
Something it would be safe in, and the right size.
I hope someone could help me out.
thanks,
Ivette

Personally, I'm not a fan of gig bags; but you might want to give Val a call at Alembic. I believe they have a vendor that custom makes bags for them.

Ivette:

You might want to double check the size, but Body Glove makes a new "hard-sided" gigbag that is VERY protective. My Electrum fits in it fine, as does any strat size guitar. Several discussions about gig bags have taken place around here. You might try a search.

That would be it. If it helps, I just got out my tape measure. The interior length of mine is approximately 42 1/2 inches.

Ivette,

I remember your zebrawood Skylark from the FTC section quite some time ago. A very beautiful guitar.

thanks Jonathan,
I am still as happy today as I was when I first got it. It's an excellent guitar. It always sounds good live, and in recordings as well.

Where did you folks get these? It looks like they are available from Body Glove, but it would be nice to get a little off from retail.

Thanks,
Edwin

I got mine from samash.com. $129.95 and, IIRC, free shipping.

I found it at Samash online, but it wasn't in stock. And, the only other store that had it was Bananas at large, but they had a problem with their shopping cart.
So, I ended up buying it through an ebay store.

I saw that they had very good reputation/feedback. I ordered it today, and I already got the tracking number, so I'm thinking it will work out well.
My total cost including shipping ended up at $137.94.

Ivette - I listened to some of the tunes on your web site. They're very nice, and the Skylark sounds great. Well done - keep on truckin'.
