Mica, I have a 1977 Series I and would like to know what is involved and what it would cost to upgrade the electronics to Series II(CVQ's as opposed to Q switches) including moving the pickup selector switch from the upper right horn.

What's it with the "Bump" postings I have seen all over this board?

If you are trying to get someone's attention, then it's very rude. If you need information now why don't you just give Mica a call...

What is with the attitude?

Bumping is a legitimate way of alerting someone of the fact that they may have overlooked your post. Phil waited 3 weeks before bumping his post. I think it's safe to say that it was officially forgotten. If everyone called Mica with their questions then she'd never get anything done. I'm not sure if you've ever talked with the Wickershams, but if you had, you'd know that you will probably spend a while on the phone with them. They are very friendly, interesting, and just plain fun to talk to, and before you know it you'll have been on the phone for a half an hour. If you are just inquiring about something (maybe you just want to find out the cost before you commit) as Phil is, then this is the perfect spot to voice your inquiry.

Merry Christmas

Matt

Didn't mean to convey attitude with that post...I just honestly didn't know what the bumps were all about. Didn't realize that this was an acceptable way of getting Mica's attention...seems like it clutters up the message board in my opinion.

one other thing...I didn't realize that there was such a long time between the original post and the "bump"...sorry about that!

There was another thread here and the "bumps" were coming every 4 or 5 hours or so.

Yup, overlooked!

Bumps aside, you'll need to have the upgrade performed as well as the conversion to Series II. The conversion will run about $350 and the upgrade is $750. Ron's next available appointment for such services is in February. Let me know if you want to schedule an appointment.
