Hi,im reading in your page this kind of options and im not very clear what do they mean: P/AE-1 HB/PVF RK/PVF SB/PVF PVF-2 or AE-2 I think "PVF" as pan, vol, filter, but the HB,RK,SB; are they actually humbucker ala musicman, rickenbaker and soapbar, or is just the same pickup but whit diferent housing? and this PVF-2 and AE-2, what is it? THANKS/GRACIAS |

PVF = Pan Volume Filter HB = Humbucker shape RK = Rickenbacker shape SB = Steinberger shape (and wire lengths) adding a -2 adds a 2-position Q switch. AE-2 is for 1-pickup and guitar models only. These systems have 1 volume and 1 filter control. The Activator pickups are going through a name change right now. The new system will be a little less confusing, but please feel free to ask if you've got any more questions. |

what about the pickups itself (HB/RK/SB), does this mean that only the cover changes and inside of the pickups are basically the same, or they actually are diferent in content? and why you are changing the name of the activators, is it just the name? thanks |

We use the biggest coil possible in each of the replacement shapes. The HB pickup has a narrower aperture compared to the RK. The wider the coil, the more complete picture of the string the pickup can capture. The only ones that are different enough to really notice is the Jazz and Strat shapes - these are very narrow and sound a little thin compared to the wider coils. We are changing the names because the Activators have changed a bit over the years, and the old way of naming doesn't fit well with the new options and it gets confusing really fast. |
