Dear All, well we have been in the studio to record a demo CD with our WHO tribute band WHO ARE YOU. Here are some pics of me with my Spyder 4 in the studio. What do you think? (Sorry for the bad quality. I had to choose low quality due to the sheer size of the pics and the last one is really blurry) Oliver (Spyderman) www.whoareyouband.de (Message edited by davehouck on March 21, 2006) |

The pics really show off that Flame Maple! What kind of pedal board are you using? |

Looks like one of the newer Boss units. Senmen,if you are still trying to sell those Spyders, you should really keep them. Just stunning instruments,& that flame is KILLER! |

Guys, many thanks for your nice words. Normally I should sell at least one of my Spyders to get my financial situation a bit solved. BUT every time I play them or see pics I DONīT want to sell them. So I will do my best that I need not to sell them. They are simply fantastic. As for the effects board it is in fact a Boss ME-50B. It is really good and especially the high-band drive is very useful with distorting only the highs while keepin the basses clean. Oliver (Spyderman) |

Good question...are those the Maxima strings you had problems with or are they the old Optima version? I still have a few sets of 45's and I haven't tried them yet. They do look awesome! |

Guys, the old ones were the Maximas, the new ones the Optimas. Yes I am trying again the Optimas. The first set was really bad. I had claimed with the manufacturer here in Germany and he had sent me a free set which I am currently testing. They are really good, seems that the first set really was a bad one... I bought mine (Optima) off of a guy who had 'em on EBAY, so I have no idea how old they are. I hope they hold up better than your first set because they were about $50USD a set! (Message edited by kmh364 on March 24, 2006) |

Have either of you guys tried the gold Optima flatwounds? I'd like to get a set for my Walnut P-bass Special.

I stumbled over these Maximas by chance a few weeks ago, and I love them ! I wired a set of 0,45" roundwound on my Spoiler, and I just get the tone I dreamt of... unbelievable. I am thinking about trying flatwounds for my Essence, too. Christian (the faker) |
